Dear CCHS Family,
In our student assembly on Friday, February 7th, I had the privilege to announce the growth of new educational opportunities at Calvary with the opening of Calvary Christian College in August 2025. The assembly included a brief history on the beginning of CCHS in
August 2000. As CCHS celebrates its 25th anniversary of existence (2000 – 2025), we
look to build on the school’s excellent educational program and offer an outstanding
collegiate educational program. If you would like to view a recording of the assembly,

You may have heard or seen communication about Calvary College being an extension
campus of the Baptist University of Florida (BUF). In fact, Calvary College did begin in
August 2024 offering courses through BUF. As considerations were being made for the
2025-26 school year, Calvary Church leadership believed the best step moving forward for collegiate courses to be offered on our campus was to place the ministry under
Calvary Christian High School. This decision ends BUF-Calvary College, but opens the
door for the beginning of Calvary Christian College. We are grateful for our partnership
with BUF over this last year and pray for their continued growth. CCHS will continue to
offer dual credit courses through BUF. The decision creates the opportunity for more
students to be reached for Christian collegiate education through both ministries.
In the beginning, Calvary Christian College will offer certificate, associate, and bachelor
degree programs with a narrow focus. The degrees offered will be in the areas of
Biblical studies and ministry training, such as Cross Cultural Missions, Pastoral Ministry,
Worship and Production Ministry, and Youth Ministry. Some of the adjunct professors at
the college will be current CCHS faculty. Classes will be held in the building located at
3000 Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard which Calvary Church purchased in 2023.
Please join us in praying for this vision of Calvary Church through the ministry of CCHS.
We believe there is a need in the Tampa Bay area for a Christian college to teach and
train high school graduates through the lens of a Biblical worldview as they prepare to
prepare to serve the Lord to expand and extend the Kingdom of Christ. Just as the
families of 38 students in 2000 believed in the vision of a Christian high school in
north Pinellas County and enrolled their children at CCHS, I am praying for
families who believe in the vision of a Christian college in north Pinellas County
and will choose to enroll their children at Calvary Christian College.
Please visit the college’s website at www.calvarychristiancollege.us. Help us spread the word about the college by telling your friends and families of this new opportunity in
Clearwater. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
